Why Bijara
Built around real family life
Everything here is designed to be clear, calm, and genuinely useful for parents in Malaysia navigating the early years.
Designed for tired parents
Sessions are paced so that even the busiest household can follow along. Materials are clear, short, and easy to revisit between feeds.
Step-by-step milestone planning
Each programme breaks the first years into manageable steps — from hospital costs to school prep — so nothing feels overwhelming or sudden.
Small parent circles
You learn alongside other Malaysian parents in similar situations. The shared experience makes the material more relatable and easier to apply at home.
Education, not advice
Bijara provides general financial education only. There are no product recommendations, no sales, and no pressure — just structured knowledge to help you think clearly.
Rooted in the Malaysian context
Content reflects local costs, common household structures, and the realities of raising a family in Shah Alam and the Selangor region — not generic global templates.
Take-home reference materials
Every programme includes worksheets, checklists, or handbooks you keep. Useful not just during the session but months later when plans change.
Ready when you are
Where would you like to begin?
A short chat with the Bijara team is a good first step. We can help you pick the right programme for your family's timing and circumstances — at your pace, with no obligation.
Questions
Common questions from parents
Who are Bijara's programmes designed for?
Bijara's programmes are for new parents, expecting parents, and families with young children in Malaysia who want a clearer picture of their family finances. You do not need any prior financial background — sessions start from the basics and build at a comfortable pace.
Are sessions held in person or online?
Most sessions are held in person at our venue in Setia City Mall, Shah Alam. This supports the small-group discussion format and the hands-on worksheet activities. Please contact us to ask about any online options for specific circumstances.
Do I need to attend with my partner?
You are welcome to attend alone or as a couple — both work well. Many parents find that attending together makes household budget planning easier to apply afterwards, but each session is also structured to work well for a single attendee.
Is this financial advice or financial education?
Bijara provides general financial education only. We do not offer regulated financial advice, make recommendations about specific products, or suggest particular investment decisions. Our role is to help you understand concepts, ask better questions, and plan more calmly — the decisions remain yours.
How do I choose between the three programmes?
The workshop (RM 480) suits parents who want a single calm session to create a starting point. The six-week programme (RM 1,720) suits families building habits over time. The three-month course (RM 4,250) suits parents who want thorough, structured coverage of all the main family finance areas. If you are unsure, reach out and we will help you decide.
What are the session times?
Sessions run on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings to fit around work and childcare. Specific intake dates are shared when you enquire. We try to keep group sizes small so the environment remains relaxed and easy to ask questions in.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. Any personal or financial details you share during sessions or in planning worksheets are treated with care and are not shared outside the Bijara team. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle your information.
